Ready to Rock-n-Roll

University of Utah head football coach Kyle Whittingham announced senior Brett Ratliff as the Utes' starting quarterback Wednesday morning. Ratliff helped lead Utah to a 41-34 overtime victory over rival BYU in the final regular-season contest last season. He then quarterbacked the Utes to a 38-10 rout of then-No. 24 Georgia Tech in the Emerald Bowl.

Utah's offence can expect to see great things from
Junior WR Brian Hernandez. All-conference candidate was granted a one-year extension on his five-year clock from the NCAA on July 18, 2006, that will allow him to compete through the 2007-08 season ... Utah's top returning receiver is extremely competitive, fast and sure-handed ... runs great routes and is very tough to defend one-on-one ... makes big gains after the catch ... missed spring ball following ankle surgery on Jan. 5, but should be full strength by fall.
Marquis Wilson showing his stuff on the feild in front of coaches and teamates. Will start at receiver as a true sophomore ... backup punt returner .
